Alix Biancardi

Alix Biancardi

Editorial Executive
Alix attended Imperial College, London from 1996 to 1999, and studied Biological Sciences, where she carried out research projects in the electrophysiology department. She graduated with an MSc in Neuroscience from the Institute of Psychiatry, Kings College in 2001. Alix has published a co-author paper in the Journal of Infectious Diseases, with the SELDI project, which is ongoing, making up the bulk of her work.
Alix enjoys reading detective novels, especially hard boiled/classics, amongst a variety of other genres. Her enjoyment of travelling reached new heights when she found herself holidaying on a mountain in Costa Rica, living alone in a wooden hut in the cloudforest. She has also visited the Maldives. Alix's husband would say her approach to life is filled with "harebrained schemes that somehow come together at the last minute", which she forges ahead with regardless, using some tact, a lot of bluntness and a colossal amount of stubbornness.
