Updating Previous Reports
Heather Douglas is an information scientist at an international biopharmaceutical company. A large team of scientists rely on her to carry out a multitude of research tasks to support their investigations and competitor intelligence. Heather often has to rerun the same search and identify what might have changed since she last ran the search. This is easily done with the Pharmaprojects search tool; find out how below.
..see a live demonstration of the information scientist search..Heather can use the save search facility to rerun a sophisticated query which utilises the 'Latest Changes' feature to identify any updates since performing the last search. She uses a saved report format to display relevant information which she can add her own notes to before exporting.
Performing A Saved Search
- Heather retreives her saved search by clicking the Open button and highlighting the search from the list and clicking Open.
- She highlights the 'Last Updated On' search criteria and changes the date value which appears in the right hand panel and clicks the Replace button.
- Heather clicks Search to perform the search.
Output
- Heather clicks Results to view the results in her default results template.
- Heather clicks the Notes cell of the drug she is interested in and types her comments.
- She exports the report as a webpage by clicking Export and uploads the page to the company intranet for her clients to access.
Heather was able to quickly identify products that had been updated since she last ran the search and was able to pass this information on to her colleagues.
