RSS. What? How?
News that comes to you..
You may ask 'what is this RSS?' and 'why should I use it?'
You trawl through your favourite websites but only 1 has new content to read, or your email newsletter ends up in the junk mail.
This is where RSS comes in. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and is a technology which allows us to push information to you the second it is published rather than you having to come and find it. This technology is replacing the email newsletter because of the many problems associated with spam email.
If you have any questions about our feed we will be happy answer them.
How do I harness this 'RSS'?
You use an RSS Aggregator to 'catch' your news.
Think of it like a personalised digital newspaper..
..you choose the source of the news stories and the aggregator is the paper displaying the latest headlines. Check out the wikipedia definition for more info.
Desktop Aggregators
Aggregators can be downloaded and installed on your PC like desktop software, simply perform a search on 'news reader' to find one. Once you have one installed on your machine you can simply hit the RSS icon, like the one found to the right, to install the feed from the site you are browsing. For some older aggregators you'll need copy the location, or URL, of the feed and paste it in to your aggregator. Ours is found at http://www.pharmaprojects.com/rss.xml
Web-based Aggregators
You can also set one up in your web browser and use it as your homepage, please click one of the below buttons to use the facilities provided by the major search engines or alternatively do a search.
