19. What is the alerts service, and do we do email alerts?
Clicking on the alerts service button is a quick way to retrieve all products that have experienced one or more major event since the database was last updated (in the past week for web, in the past month for Pharmaprojects CD-ROM). This can search can be refined e.g. by company or therapeutic area so you could see for example all anticancer drugs that have had a major change or look for all major changes in the AstraZeneca pipeline.
We do not currently send clients e-mail alerts but this is something we are looking to address in the next version of Pharmaprojects.
